Addressing tips for Turkey
- Write the recipient first, then sub-locality, village or P.O. Box details, then street and building details.[1]
- The Turkish postcode has five digits and appears to the left of the locality name.[1]
- If locality or county names are not unique, the UPU sheet says the province name should be specified.[1]
- Common address words include Mahalle or Mah. for sub-locality, Cadde or Cad. for major street, Sokak or Sok. for street, and PK for P.O. Box.[1]

Questions about sending mail to Turkey
- How long does mail to Turkey take?
- We estimate 10–18 business days after mailing. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, and the count starts on the day we mail your letter, not the day you order.
- Can I send a letter to Turkey from another country?
- Yes. You order online from wherever you are, and we print and mail the letter for you, so you don't need stamps or a trip to the post office. Once your order is assigned, its page shows the country it was mailed from.
- Can I add a return receipt to a letter to Turkey?
- Yes. Choose Registered letter and add the return receipt. The recipient signs on delivery and the signed receipt is posted back to the sender address on your letter. A sender address is required.
- Can I track a letter to Turkey?
- Yes, with a tracked or registered letter. Tracking updates depend on the postal networks along the way, so they may not cover every step. Your order page shows the updates we receive.
- Do I need to enter a state or province for Turkey?
- Yes, the address form asks for it and we print it as part of the address. Pick the address from the suggestions to fill it in automatically.
- Where does the Turkish postcode go?
- Before the locality name on the final domestic line, often in the form 06101 ULUS/ANKARA.[1]
- Does a Turkey address need the province?
- Use the province when the recipient provides it, especially where locality or county names may not be unique.[1]
- Where should I enter Mah. or P.O. Box details?
- Use the second address line so those details print above the street line.
