    Addressing tips for Slovakia

    • A Slovak postcode has five digits with a space between the third and fourth: 010 01. Two spaces separate the postcode from the delivery office name.[1]
    • The last line is the postcode followed by the name of the delivery post office, which is almost always the locality name: 010 01 ŽILINA.[1]
    • If a village is served by another locality's office, write the village on its own line above the postcode line: Vígľaš, then 962 12 DETVA.[1]
    • In a locality without streets, the line before the postcode reads the locality and house number: Laštek 187.[1]
    • A PO box line reads P.O. Box and the number in place of the street.[1]
    • The specimens write the post office name in capitals.[1]

Questions about sending mail to Slovakia

How long does mail to Slovakia take?
We estimate 4–6 business days after mailing. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, and the count starts on the day we mail your letter, not the day you order.
Can I send a letter to Slovakia from another country?
Yes. You order online from wherever you are, and we print and mail the letter for you, so you don't need stamps or a trip to the post office. Once your order is assigned, its page shows the country it was mailed from.
Can I add a return receipt to a letter to Slovakia?
Yes. Choose Registered letter and add the return receipt. The recipient signs on delivery and the signed receipt is posted back to the sender address on your letter. A sender address is required.
Can I track a letter to Slovakia?
Yes, with a tracked or registered letter. Tracking updates depend on the postal networks along the way, so they may not cover every step. Your order page shows the updates we receive.
How do I write a Slovak postcode?
Five digits with a space between the third and fourth, as in 010 01. MaisonMail formats it that way whatever spacing you type.[1]
What is on the last line of a Slovak address?
The postcode followed by the name of the delivery post office, such as 960 01 ZVOLEN.[1]
