Addressing tips for Portugal
- A Portuguese postcode has seven digits with a dash between the fourth and fifth: 2725-079. It is written to the left of the locality name.[1]
- Portuguese Post recommends at most six lines, no blank lines, and the address preferably in capitals.[1]
- The street line carries the street and premises, including floor and side: R. LEAL DA CÂMARA 31 RC ESQ.[1]
- A PO box line reads APARTADO and the number, followed by the post office name on the next line.[1]
- A sub-locality goes on its own line between the street and the postcode line.[1]
