Addressing tips for Lithuania
- Lithuania Post requires the two-letter country code LT- in front of the postcode on all international mail: LT-04340 Vilnius.[1]
- Postcodes have five digits after LT-, written to the left of the locality name.[1]
- House number and apartment number are separated by a hyphen: Laisvės pr. 40-12.[1]
- When the locality is not the municipal capital, write it on its own line above the postcode line, and the postcode line ends with the municipality: Ariogala, then LT-60249 RASEINIU R. SAV.[1]
- A PO box line reads P. d. and the number, followed by the post office name on the next line.[1]

Questions about sending mail to Lithuania
- How long does mail to Lithuania take?
- We estimate 5–7 business days after mailing. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, and the count starts on the day we mail your letter, not the day you order.
- Can I send a letter to Lithuania from another country?
- Yes. You order online from wherever you are, and we print and mail the letter for you, so you don't need stamps or a trip to the post office. Once your order is assigned, its page shows the country it was mailed from.
- Can I add a return receipt to a letter to Lithuania?
- Yes. Choose Registered letter and add the return receipt. The recipient signs on delivery and the signed receipt is posted back to the sender address on your letter. A sender address is required.
- Can I track a letter to Lithuania?
- Yes, with a tracked or registered letter. Tracking updates depend on the postal networks along the way, so they may not cover every step. Your order page shows the updates we receive.
- Do I write LT- before a Lithuanian postcode?
- Yes. UPU says Lithuania Post requires the ISO country code on all international mail, so the postcode is written LT-04340.[1]
- How do I write the apartment number in a Lithuanian address?
- Join it to the house number with a hyphen, as in Laisvės pr. 40-12.[1]
