Addressing tips for Finland
- Postcodes have five digits and are written to the left of the post office name: 00550 HELSINKI. They are written without a country prefix.[1]
- A national address has at most five lines of at most 30 characters, with empty lines omitted.[1]
- The delivery line holds the street, the house number and the staircase and flat: Mäkelänkatu 25 B 13.[1]
- A PO box line reads PL and the number in place of the street: PL 900, then 00101 HELSINKI.[1]
- For poste restante write Poste restante instead of the street line.[1]
- The specimens write the post office name in capitals.[1]

Questions about sending mail to Finland
- How long does mail to Finland take?
- We estimate 4–6 business days after mailing. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, and the count starts on the day we mail your letter, not the day you order.
- Can I send a letter to Finland from another country?
- Yes. You order online from wherever you are, and we print and mail the letter for you, so you don't need stamps or a trip to the post office. Once your order is assigned, its page shows the country it was mailed from.
- Can I add a return receipt to a letter to Finland?
- Yes. Choose Registered letter and add the return receipt. The recipient signs on delivery and the signed receipt is posted back to the sender address on your letter. A sender address is required.
- Can I track a letter to Finland?
- Yes, with a tracked or registered letter. Tracking updates depend on the postal networks along the way, so they may not cover every step. Your order page shows the updates we receive.
- Where do I write the staircase and flat number in a Finnish address?
- On the delivery line after the house number, as in Mäkelänkatu 25 B 13.[1]
- Do I write FI- before a Finnish postcode?
- No. The UPU specimens write the postcode on its own: 00550 HELSINKI.[1]
- What is PL in a Finnish address?
- PL is the abbreviation used for a PO box in UPU's Finnish specimen: PL 900, 00101 HELSINKI.[1]
