Addressing tips for Croatia
- For mail sent from other countries the postcode takes the country code and a dash in front of it: HR-10000 ZAGREB.[1]
- Postcodes have five digits and are written to the left of the post office name. Postcodes ending in 1 or 2 are used for PO boxes.[1]
- Building, floor and door go on the street line: Krapinska 17/I stan 4.[1]
- A PO box line reads P.P. and the number in place of the street: P.P. 105, then HR-21001 SPLIT.[1]
- For a locality without a delivery post office, write the locality on its own line above the postcode and the delivery post office: Kanfanar, then HR-52341 ŽMINJ.[1]
- The specimens write the post office name in capitals.[1]

Questions about sending mail to Croatia
- How long does mail to Croatia take?
- We estimate 4–6 business days after mailing. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, and the count starts on the day we mail your letter, not the day you order.
- Can I send a letter to Croatia from another country?
- Yes. You order online from wherever you are, and we print and mail the letter for you, so you don't need stamps or a trip to the post office. Once your order is assigned, its page shows the country it was mailed from.
- Can I add a return receipt to a letter to Croatia?
- Yes. Choose Registered letter and add the return receipt. The recipient signs on delivery and the signed receipt is posted back to the sender address on your letter. A sender address is required.
- Can I track a letter to Croatia?
- Yes, with a tracked or registered letter. Tracking updates depend on the postal networks along the way, so they may not cover every step. Your order page shows the updates we receive.
- Do I write HR- before a Croatian postcode?
- Yes, on mail sent from other countries: UPU requires the country code HR and a dash before the postcode, as in HR-10000 ZAGREB.[1]
- What does a postcode ending in 1 or 2 mean in Croatia?
- UPU says postcodes ending in 1 or 2 are used for PO boxes.[1]
