Order and payment
The order is only validated after payment confirmation. Payment is made online by bank card via our secure provider Stripe.
A confirmation email is sent upon order validation, summarizing the order contents and tracking number if applicable.
Right of withdrawal
Legal exception to the right of withdrawal (Art. L.221-28 Consumer Code)
Under article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal DOES NOT APPLY to MaisonMail orders. Letters are personalised goods made to the consumer's specifications (paragraph 3°) and constitute a service fully performed before the legal withdrawal period expires (paragraph 1°).
In practice:
Once your document is transmitted for printing and dispatch, the service is considered fully performed and the right of withdrawal can no longer be exercised.
The client is expressly informed and accepts that the service begins upon payment validation, which entails waiving the right of withdrawal.
No refund possible
Once payment is confirmed, the order is final and irrevocable. No cancellation, modification, or refund can be granted for any reason.
Delivery times
MaisonMail processing time
MaisonMail commits to processing, printing, and handing over your letter to La Poste within 24 business hours of payment confirmation.
Postal delivery times shown are in business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) and are calculated from La Poste acceptance.
Postal delivery times are purely indicative and reflect La Poste's contractual commitments. MaisonMail cannot be held responsible for delays, losses, or incidents attributable to La Poste or any postal operator.
Liability and compensation cap
MaisonMail undertakes to faithfully transmit customer-provided documents to La Poste for printing and dispatch. Our liability is limited to correct transmission.
MaisonMail cannot be held responsible for the content of documents provided by the customer, nor the consequences of their dispatch.
In case of loss or damage attributable to La Poste, our liability is strictly capped at La Poste’s official compensation schedule in force.
La Poste compensation schedule
Green Letter & Tracked Letter
These services carry no compensation in the event of loss or damage. La Poste offers no reimbursement guarantee for these mail types. MaisonMail’s liability is accordingly nil beyond that limit.
Registered Letter (LRAR)
Compensation is limited to La Poste’s official caps based on the registered mail level subscribed (R1 or R2). MaisonMail cannot be held liable beyond these regulatory ceilings.

Collected personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and French data protection law.

Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action.
Mediation:
In accordance with articles L.616-1 and R.616-1 of the Consumer Code, the consumer may use the mediation service offered by MaisonMail free of charge.
Failing an amicable resolution, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
