Mobile & Internet Box Termination Letter
This letter cancels a mobile plan or an internet/box subscription and asks the operator to confirm the closing date and arrange the return of any equipment.
When to send it
Send it when you want to leave your operator. If you are still under a minimum-term commitment, early-termination fees may apply; after 12 months most plans can be cancelled freely. To switch operators while keeping your number, use the RIO portability process instead.
What you need to know
- Send it as a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to fix the cancellation date.
- Quote your line or client number, and your phone number for a mobile plan.
- Ask explicitly for a closing date, a final invoice and instructions to return the box or equipment.
- Returning the operator's equipment on time avoids extra charges.
How to send it
A registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt is recommended. MaisonMail handles printing and posting, and the AR proves your operator received the cancellation.
